Poon Hill Trek
Overview

The popular trekking destination that lies in the Annapurna region of Nepal is the Poon Hill Trek, located at a maximum altitude of 3,210 m. The trek is the most famous among all Nepalese and international tourists because it is the shortest and easiest way to view the stunning sunrise mountain vistas of Mount Annapurna, Mount Machapuchare, Mount Dhaulagiri, Mount Hinchuli, and many more. Indeed, this is the specialty of the Poon Hill Trek. The Poon Hill Trek begins from Kathmandu to Pokhara via a drive toward the western part of Nepal, which again leads to the north from Pokhara.

We wake up in the morning and begin our whole-day visit around Kathmandu, mainly UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The first place we visit is the highly touristic center of Kathmandu Durbar Square. Gradually, we visit the Pashupatinath devotional shrine, the largest Boudhanath spherical stupa, and the last one we go to see is the monkey temple Swayambhunath. We conclude our day tour and go back to the hotel. Overnight in Kathmandu.

We set off our journey via drive from Kathmandu. The highway's fall and rise take us to mesmerizing views of the hilly landscapes around us. As the drive speeds on the paved roadway, we might come across species of flora and fauna along the way. The terrain is surrounded by lush ridges, terraced agricultural lands, picturesque sloping hills, and glowing towns; lastly, the zigzag ways take us to Pokhara. Overnight in Pokhara.

We wake up in the morning and see the crystal-clear mountain views of Mt. Annapurna, Mt. Machapuchare, Mt. Hiuchuli, Mt. Manaslu, and many more from our room. We get ready to set out for the drive all the way to Hile. It is about a 3-hour drive and watching the captivating views of nature across all the routes. As we reach Hile, we start the first day of our trek toward Ulleri. The trek gradually takes us upward through the hilly terrain; the geography is home to various species of flora and fauna. The pristine lifestyle of the community is also part of our energetic trek. Overnight in Ulleri.

After having breakfast, we begin the trek to Ghorepani, which is gradually ascending. The trek is more enthralling on every walkway. We traverse the path of blooming rhododendron flowers, soothing streams, and surprising landscapes. As we go further up, the beauty of nature adds even more; it's own ambience. Overnight in Ghorepani.

We wake up very early in the morning and commence our trek up to Poon Hill (3,210 m). Today's day is a more special and epic part of our trek. As we move ahead, the upward trail takes us to our final destination. Poon Hill is a popular hilltop to view the eye-catching sunrise views over the majestic mountains of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Hinchuli, Machapuchare, and many more. We have a great time taking photos and having coffee. We return down to Ghorepani for breakfast, then set out dowanward to Tadapani. Overnight in Tadapani.

The section of the trek starts downhill through the foresty trail, across the blooming many species of rhododendron. It feels like nature is very happy and offers distinct joys. After the continuous trek, we come to Ghandruk village. Ghandruk village is the most popular village among tourists to study the pristin experience of the Gurung community. Even in the slighly mordenized community, indeed, the village lifestyle is yet virtuous. We make our way further up to visit Dandagaun village. Dandagaun is one of the most beautiful villages located in the valley of Ghandruk. Which is highly popular because of the unity of clusters of traditional homestays over the years. Still, no modernization has been introduced to offer the same rural ambience. That is why Dandagaun has become the tourists's favorite choice for their stay. Overnight in Ghandruk.

We wake up early in the morning to view the sunrise from our hotel. The shiny Golden Mt. Machhapuchhre, Mt. Hiunchuli, Mt. Gangapurna, and Mt. Annapurna are absolutely stunning. Of course, this is a prime section of our trek. We take breakfast, then get ready to go to Pokhara via drive. The winding journey goes ahead by offering the picturesque scenery of the lush hills. We will have a half-day of free time and begin to visit Pokhara. We visit Pokhara Lakeside to enjoy boating around Phewa Lake and visit Tal Barahi Temple, which is in the center of the lake. Lakeside is the most beautiful and cleanest place in Pokhara. We take the short walkways to the lively and bustling area that offers us more entertainment and relaxation. And finally, we explore the beautiful sunset views from the top of Sarangkot. That offers impresive views, and back to Pokhara via drive in 30 minutes.

Pokhara is not finished in a 1-day tour, but we select the most popular and touristic hubs. Pokhara is known as the city of lakes and the gateway to the summit within the Annapurna Mount Ranges. We wake up early in the morning and look around at the sunrise views over Mount Machapuchare, Mount Annnapurna, Mount Dhaulagiri, Mount Manaslu, and many more from the hotel. We take breakfast and prepare for the whole day of sightseeing in Pokhara. We visit David's Falls, Gupteshwar Mahadev Cave, the limestone Mahendra Cave, and the World Peace Pagoda gradually. We stroll the evening walkways around Pokhara. Walking in the evening is one of the most novel and exciting experiences on the lakeside of Pokhara. Overnight in Pokhara.
