The beautiful city of Kathmandu is the capital of Nepal and is known for its unique arts and culture. There are many vivid architectural places that are listed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The tourist hotspots, pilgrimage centers, and business areas are the major attractions of the Kathmandu tour.
Kathmandu Durbar Square
Kathmandu Durbar Square is a vibrant cultural site spread out over a large area. There are many temples built with unique designs and intricately carved wood. The square was supposed to start being built in the 3rd century. As time passes, the reinvention work is also progressing and taking on the same style. A nine-story palace, the Kumari Ghar (Aliving Goddess), Shiva Parvati Temple, Taleju Bhawani Temple, Nasal Chowk, Hanuman Dhoka Palace Museum, and Basantapur Square are some of the recognized places to visit. There are many pristine restaurants that have opened, considering the number of tourists arriving. We enter there and taste authentic local foods.
Pashupatinath Temple
Pashupatinath Temple is a revered holy pilgrimage site dedicated to Lord Shiva and located in the heart of Kathmandu, on the bank of the soothing sacred Bagmati River. The territory of the surrounding temple is very large and perfect for hiking in the lush forests. The construction of the temple is unsure, but the current form of the temple was built in 1692 CE in the pagoda style. There are many small temples named for various gods and goddesses. The Bagmati River, Sesmantak Forest, Guhyeshwari Temple, and Pashupatinath Temple are the major attractions of the day tour.
Boudhanath Stupa
The popular and well-known Boudhanath Stupa is located in the prime heart of Kathmanu Valley. The spherical architectural stupa is the largest stupa in the world and was built around the 14th century. As time passes, the renovation work is done in the same pristine style, although something has changed. Boudhanath Stupa is a high devotional center for Buddhists and Hindu communities, but other religious groups also come to mediation and get unique vibes. The stupa is a sign of peace and humility.
