We love the trek, which includes pristine village life and a view of the majestic Mount Everest. We did the Jiri to Everest Base Camp Trek by car. What an exciting time! Carl S. Rowan - Norway

Jiri to Everest Base Camp Trek
Overview

We take you to the heart of Everest, the Everest Base Camp Trek. The route is an old-fashioned one. Who wishes to travel to see an iconic mountain through the highway? Why not join in even one-way via drive? This is an alternative way to reach Everest Base Camp. Yes! Travelers have different choices, so we have designed this tour to make our trip a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The trek starts from Kathmandu to Jiri on our private transportation, which will depend on the size of the group. The tour passes through hilly terraced areas of field, many zigzag ways, waterfalls, and some of the gradually disappearing flora and fauna. That is the specific section of the trek that is followed by the rural lifestyle of the people.

When we drive to Jiri, we are going to be so close to the snow-capped mountains in the distance that we feel like we are already there. We go by the many hilly small settlements of villages and the continuously flowing Sunkoshi River alongside. That is the most beautiful part of the journey from Kathmandu to Jiri’s Everest Base Camp Trek. When we drive our way further, we are witnessing an amazing and extra-biodiversity of terrain that is quite beautiful and romantic. We will not miss out on the opportunities that we want to seize.

The route passes from beautiful hilly life to mountain life, and many of our routes are amidst them. That is a particularly beautiful section of the journey to become familiar with. When we enter the Everest Region, we find many other trekking destinations that go from there. So our goal is to be at Everest Base Camp. This section of our trek features beautiful Himalayan mountain ranges, many suspension bridges, up-and-down routes, and is rich in flora and fauna.

When you land at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, our officials will be there before your arrival to greet you, and we will transfer you to a hotel in Thamel. Take a rest and get freshened up. We will give you a brief overview of the Nepal trip. Overnight in Kathmandu.

We wake up in the morning and have breakfast. We set out for the Kathmandu tour. The tours mainly cover UNESCO World Heritage Sites in our selections. We visit Kathmandu Durbar Square. The widely spread-out square is the center of the monuments and temples of the medieval era. We walk away and head toward our destination, the Pashupatinath temple. The temple is the most highly revered holy place in the world. We go to the pilgrimage sites of Boudhanath Stupa and Swayambhunath Stupa. The stupas are the most visited hiking areas in Nepal. We come to end our day tour and return to the hotel. Overnight in Kathmandu.

We wake up in the morning and have breakfast, then take a drive all the way to Bhandar. Slowly and safely drive ahead through the mesmerizing views of the hills, touching the serene green nature on the slightly bumpy road, eating homemade local foods of our choice, and finally we reach Jiri. Next, we go through the single-way route to the final destination of Bhandar, capturing the views of nature close up to the Himalayan ranges from a long distance. Overnight in Bhandar.

This is the first day of our trek, which starts by following the descend and ascend routes of the Himalayan hilly zones. We pass by the suspension rivers, and Buddhist paryers flags are seen across hills along the way. As we move ahead further, we see small communities of people from place to place whose unique old-style way of life is interesting. The all-around greenery surrounds us on our way to Sete. Overnight in Sete.

After an early morning breakfast, we head toward Junbesi. The terrain passes through mostly lush rhododendron forest on the easy and quite familiar ascending trekking routes. When you go up higher allitude, we see the beautiful Buddha stupa on the cliff of the hill in Junbesi. Overnight in Junbesi.

We wake up in the morning and have breakfast. We stretch and heal our legs for a day hike. We commence our day tour in Junbesi. Junbesi is the renowned village of the Shepa people and is rich in locally produced foods that we will taste during our day tour. The lush valley is decorated with prayer flags across the hills that seem wonderful and keep the ideal of religion. Overnight in Junbesi.

Our next journey is to Nunthala. When we pass the first bridge at Junbesi, the trail begins ascending to a higher altitude. When we reach Nunthala, a beautiful village that is famous for its natural vistas, the main attraction of Nunthala is its colorful Buddhist monasteries and terraced agricultural fields. Overnight in Nunthala.

The trail goes the same as on yesterday's walk but is slightly steep on the way, passing the Rai Villages and their attractively colored homes, small streams flowing from the top of hills, somewhere distrubing our ways. The rhododendron flowers are blooming around the hills. We move ahead and cross from one village to another in mostly ascending and descending ways, which makes our trail more exciting, even though the route is narrow. Overnight in Bupsa.

Today's section of the trek is closer to Everest. The broad trail makes the walk more enjoyable. We go through crossing streams, ridges, and several villages on our route. The people in the Sherpa communities welcome us with their love and great affection. The ritual flags are flowing across the villages, and the trail seems more interesting and attractive. Overnight in Chheplung.

Today's our trek all the way to the popular Namche Bazaar, which leads to the main trekking routes of the Everest Region. The route covers many scenic waterfalls, rivers, and beautiful valleys. As we climb further ahead, we get excellent views of Mount Thamserku, Mount Khangaru, and many more. Overnight in Namche Bazaar.

Today is the rest of our day. When we wake up in the morning, we see the serene views of the mountains that keep us energetic. The beautiful small village has almost as many facilities as ATM machines, WiFi, shops, and restaurants offering to taste the local foods such as cheese and yak milk. We hike to the Everest View hotel to glance at stunning mountains like Everest, Ama Dablam, Lhotse, Khumbila, and many more in closer view. The hilltop has earned more popularity among visitors because of the picturesque view. Next, we go to visit Sagarmatha National Park. The park is home to endangered wildlife such as red pandas, the Himalayan tahr, musk deer, and more than 118 species of birds. We descend back to Namche Bazaar. Overnight in Namche Bazaar.

After leaving the beautiful village of Namche Bazzar for Tengboche, we continue to go ahead through green forests on our route. We see Buddhist monasteries and unique colored religious flags flowing in the direction of Brezze. Our trek goes ascending and descending at a higher altitude, which eventually takes us to Tengboche. At Tengboche, we will have a big opportunity to see the yellow-colored sunlight glimpse across Mount Everest, Mount Ama Dablam, Mount Nuptse, and Mount Lhotseat dusk. It will be the most remarkable day of our trek. Stay overnight there. Overnight in Tengboche.

The morning views of Mount Everest, Mount Thamserku, and other snow-capped peaks are quite fascinating. As we climb ahead, we cross a few of the drier hills on flat routes. The purpose of the moderate walk is to acclimate us to climbing up to higher altitudes painlessly. The up-and-down of the trek goes straight to Dingboche. Dingboche is a small town of sherpa-friendly people located along the Imja River, encompassing snowcapped mountains like Everest, Ama Dablam, Makalu, Lhotse, Cho Oyu, and many others. Overnight in Dingboche.

After having breakfast, the flat and narrow trails that go to higher altitudes reach us at the Dughla. Before reaching Dughla Valley, we go through hills covered in crub junipers on sneaky trails and come across moraines. Finally, we come to Dughla Village. We continue to ascend to Lobuche, where we see many of the marks of travelers who died to conquer Mount Everest and other mountains within the Everest Region Trek. Overnight in Lobuche.

We go up a steep walk to Gorak Shep and follow the trail straight forward to Everest Base Camp along the rocky foothills while viewing the incredible Mount Everest, Mount Khumbutse, Mount Lingtern, and so on. After lunch at Gorak Shep, we begin our trek to Everest Base Camp through a fraction of tributary glaciers, the Khumbu moraine, streams, and small rocky ridges. After a short hour's walk, we reach Mount Everest. That will be a special time in our life of adventure when we wave our national flag. Enjoy the great moments there. Next, we go back down to Gorak Shep for an overnight stay. Overnight in Gorak Shep.

This is a section that leads to going down Pheriche by watching the mesmerizing views of Mount Everest, Mount Nuptse, Mount Pumori, and many more on the route. The downward walk is quite moderate on flat terrain with a dot of scrub junipers. Overnight in Pheriche.

We begin the zigzag downhill trek by leaving some of the iconic views of snow-capped mountains, such as Mount Everest, Mount Nuptse, Mount Lhotse, Mount Ama Dablam, and many others in the closer vicinity. The route follows the stoney stairway trail, which ascends and descends into forested terrain to the lower altitude. As we go straight down our trek through the perennially flowing Dudh Koshi River, we cross beautiful waterfalls along the way. That is the most beautiful section of the trek. Overnight in Namche Bazaar.

We begin our day's trek after having breakfast, which goes down through hills rich in flora and fauna. The trail also leads somewhere steeply upward in narrow ways, which is quite adventurous. We finally come across the gorge of the Dudh Koshi River, where we cross a few suspension steel bridges. On the route, sometimes we go up and down. Then, enter the beautiful town of Lukla. Which is also the view point of iconic Mount Everest, Mount Lhotse, Mount Ama Dablam, and many other peaks. Overnight in Lukla.

The early morning flight takes us to Kathmandu. It is the recommended time for the flight, leaving most of our excellent views of mountains but keeping them in our memory and devices. We land in Kathmandu and go back to our hotel. Take a rest and get refreshed. We enjoy promenade free time to visit the streets and alleys of Thamel. The prominent city is the center of thriving tourism. In the evening, we take part in a cultural program and sing folk songs together to try to entertain you more. Overnight in Kathmandu.

We say good-bye to you and take you to the Tribhuvan International Airport before 3 hours for your departure to your sweet home. We hope you visit Nepal during your next vacation. Have a safe flight.
