Trek Itinerary for Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek

Day 1: Drive from Pokhara to Nayapul (1,070m / 3,510 ft), Trek to Tikhedhunga (1,540m / 5,052 ft)

Drive from Pokhara to Nayapul, the starting point of the trek (approx. 1.5 hours).

Begin the trek from Nayapul, passing through charming villages and terraced fields.

Reach Tikhedhunga after a gradual ascent along the Bhurungdi River.

Trekking time: 3-4 hours.

Overnight stay in Tikhedhunga.

Day 2: Trek from Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani (2,860m / 9,383 ft)

Start the day with a steep climb up a stone staircase to the village of Ulleri.

Continue through rhododendron and oak forests, passing small villages and streams.

Arrive in Ghorepani, a beautiful village surrounded by lush forests and mountain views.

Trekking time: 6-7 hours.

Overnight stay in Ghorepani.

Day 3: Early Morning Hike to Poon Hill (3,210m / 10,531 ft), then Trek to Tadapani (2,630m / 8,628 ft)

Early morning ascent to Poon Hill to witness a stunning sunrise over the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain ranges.

Enjoy panoramic views of Mount Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), and other peaks.

Descend back to Ghorepani for breakfast, then continue trekking through forests to reach Tadapani.

Trekking time: 5-6 hours.

Overnight stay in Tadapani.

Day 4: Trek from Tadapani to Ghandruk (1,940m / 6,364 ft)

Descend through rhododendron forests with occasional mountain views.

Reach the beautiful Gurung village of Ghandruk, known for its traditional stone houses and vibrant culture.

Spend time exploring the village and learning about the Gurung community.

Trekking time: 3-4 hours.

Overnight stay in Ghandruk.

Day 5: Trek from Ghandruk to Nayapul, Drive back to Pokhara

Descend gradually from Ghandruk to Nayapul.

Upon reaching Nayapul, drive back to Pokhara.

Trekking time: 4-5 hours.

Return drive to Pokhara (approx. 1.5 hours).

Overnight stay in Pokhara (if desired) or continue to your next destination.
