Description
Dhorpatan Hunting Reserve is Nepal’s only hunting reserve and is home to diverse wildlife, including blue sheep, leopards, and pheasants. It also features stunning landscapes, from lush valleys to rugged mountain terrain. Though primarily a hunting reserve, it's becoming popular for eco-tourism and trekking. Trekkers can explore the beautiful landscape and learn about the local Magar and Tibetan cultures.

Trek Itinerary for Dhorpatan Hunting Reserve
Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu

Steeper trekking day with beautiful views of Dhaulagiri and surrounding peaks.
Cross the Jaljala Pass at approximately 3,400 meters.

Day 6: Trek from Jaljala Pass to Dhorpatan
Descend into the Dhorpatan valley.
Walk through alpine meadows and enter Dhorpatan Hunting Reserve.
