Trek Itinerary for Aanapurna Base Camp Trek

Day 1: Drive from Pokhara to Nayapul (1,070 m) and Trek to Tikhedhunga (1,540 m)

Drive: 1-2 hours

Trek: 4-5 hours

Highlights: Scenic drive, walk along the Bhurungdi Khola river, lush forests, and charming villages.

Day 2: Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani (2,860 m)

Trek: 6-7 hours

Highlights: Ascend 3,000 stone steps to Ulleri, passing through rhododendron forests, views of Annapurna South and Machhapuchhre (Fishtail).

Day 3: Ghorepani to Tadapani (2,630 m) via Poon Hill (3,210 m)

Trek: 5-6 hours

Highlights: Early morning hike to Poon Hill for sunrise views over the Himalayas, including Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. Descend to Tadapani through forests.

Day 4: Tadapani to Chhomrong (2,170 m)

Trek: 5-6 hours

Highlights: Descend through forested paths, cross the Kimrong Khola, then ascend to Chhomrong, a beautiful Gurung village with views of Annapurna South and Machhapuchhre.

Day 5: Chhomrong to Dovan (2,600 m)

Trek: 6-7 hours

Highlights: Descend to the Chhomrong Khola, followed by a steep ascent through bamboo and rhododendron forests. Overnight at Dovan.

Day 6: Dovan to Deurali (3,230 m)

Trek: 4-5 hours

Highlights: Trek through bamboo and alpine forests, reaching the alpine zone. The landscapes become more rugged and sparse as you ascend.

Day 7: Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp (4,130 m) via Machhapuchhre Base Camp (3,700 m)

Trek: 5-6 hours

Highlights: Trek through the Annapurna Sanctuary, surrounded by towering peaks. Rest at Machhapuchhre Base Camp before continuing to ABC, where you’ll have stunning panoramic views of Annapurna, Machhapuchhre, and other peaks.

Day 8: Annapurna Base Camp to Bamboo (2,310 m)

Trek: 6-7 hours

Highlights: Begin your descent with breathtaking views, retracing your steps to the warmer climates of Bamboo.

Day 9: Bamboo to Jhinu Danda (1,780 m)

Trek: 5-6 hours

Highlights: Descend to Chhomrong, then continue down to Jhinu Danda. Enjoy the hot springs by the river as a reward for your journey.

Day 10: Jhinu Danda to Nayapul and Drive Back to Pokhara

Trek: 5-6 hours

Drive: 1-2 hours

Highlights: Final trek through scenic landscapes to Nayapul. Take a short drive back to Pokhara.
