Day 1: Drive from Kathmandu to Besisahar (760 m)
Drive: 6-7 hours
Highlights: Scenic drive through hills, rivers, and terraced farmland. Besisahar is the starting point of the Annapurna Circuit and Tilicho Lake Trek.
Day 2: Besisahar to Chame (2,670 m)
Drive/Trek: 5-6 hours by Jeep (or 6-7 hours trekking to Dharapani and then driving to Chame)
Highlights: Passing through small villages, waterfalls, and lush forests. You’ll begin to see snow-capped peaks like Lamjung Himal along the way.
Day 3: Chame to Pisang (3,300 m)
Trek: 5-6 hours
Highlights: A moderate trek along the Marsyangdi River, pine forests, and small settlements. Beautiful views of Annapurna II, Pisang Peak, and other mountains.
Day 4: Pisang to Manang (3,540 m)
Trek: 6-7 hours
Highlights: Trek through the arid terrain of the Manang Valley. You’ll see landscapes transitioning to more alpine scenery with fewer trees. Stop at Bhraka Monastery for a spiritual experience.
Day 5: Acclimatization Day in Manang
Trek: Short acclimatization hikes around Manang
Highlights: Hike to places like the Gangapurna Lake and explore local culture. This day helps your body adjust to the high altitude, reducing the risk of altitude sickness.
Day 6: Manang to Siri Kharka (4,060 m)
Trek: 4-5 hours
Highlights: Moderate ascent through alpine landscapes. Siri Kharka offers great views of Ganggapurna and Tilicho Peak.
Day 7: Siri Kharka to Tilicho Base Camp (4,150 m)
Trek: 5-6 hours
Highlights: Challenging trails with steep sections and a rugged path. This day brings you closer to the lake with increasingly spectacular views.
Day 8: Tilicho Base Camp to Tilicho Lake (4,919 m) and back to Siri Kharka
Trek: 7-8 hours (round trip)
Highlights: The trek to Tilicho Lake is the main highlight, with incredible mountain views and the stunning, icy-blue waters of Tilicho Lake. After exploring the lake, you’ll return to Siri Kharka.
Day 9: Siri Kharka to Yak Kharka (4,050 m)
Trek: 4-5 hours
Highlights: A descent and ascent through alpine pastures. Yak Kharka is a popular stop for trekkers on the Annapurna Circuit as well.
Day 10: Yak Kharka to Thorong Phedi (4,540 m)
Trek: 5-6 hours
Highlights: Scenic trek that takes you through rocky terrain to Thorong Phedi, which is the last stop before the Thorong La Pass.
Day 11: Cross Thorong La Pass (5,416 m) and trek to Muktinath (3,800 m)
Trek: 7-9 hours
Highlights: The challenging Thorong La Pass is the highest point of the trek and offers stunning panoramic views. After crossing the pass, you descend to Muktinath, a sacred site for both Hindus and Buddhists.
Day 12: Drive from Muktinath to Jomsom (2,720 m)
Drive/Trek: 2-3 hours by Jeep or 5-6 hours trek to Jomsom
Highlights: Drive or walk along the Kali Gandaki River, famous for its fossil stones called Saligrams.
Day 13: Fly from Jomsom to Pokhara
Flight: 20 minutes
Highlights: A short but scenic flight back to Pokhara, where you can relax by the lakeside.
